The Rise of Women Startups

Women are powerful. There are no ifs and buts about that because the proof is in the stats. As a result, we’re starting to dominate in specific sectors as well as in colleges.

For example, according to The Atlantic, “American colleges and universities now enroll roughly six women for every four men. This is the largest female-male gender gap in the history of higher education, and it’s getting wider.”

Women are more eager to pursue higher education, and now, they're after something more, which is startups.

According to WomenWhoTech, there’s been a 68% increase in women-led startups between 1997 and 2014, that’s expected to increase especially since the onset of 2020 is the era of more digitization.

there is 3x the likelihood of women executives to startups and to receive venture funding more than 15 years ago.

There are also 10+ million businesses and startups being owned and run by women in the US alone. There is also a 216% increase in the number of firms that are led by ethnic and minority women.

These are just a small number of successful startups that were started by women. This goes to show that anything is possible if you really put your mind to it. There’s nothing stopping most women from accomplishing getting their academic and economic freedom, and hitting their goals.
